Investment Management Business – Talent Audit and Development Programme
Service Provided:
After a period of significant growth our client required support in understanding how their first line – mid managers’ current capabilities fitted with the requirements of the new business priorities and then addressing any gaps identified. Our role was to create a standardised assessment and development programme that benchmarked managers against the current requirements. The programme then provided tailored developmental feedback and planning to support the managers to ensure they were able to meet their responsibilities within the new structure. Working in partnership with the CEO and HR Director we created a half day assessment programme that enabled a neutral and consistent benchmark of individuals against the organisational requirements. Data from this process was used in two ways:
- To inform resource allocation and scheduling of organisational wide development planning, indicating group and department wide trends in key strengths and development needs.
- To support structured feedback and development planning for participants at an individual level.
Once the initial assessment programme was complete each participant was invited to take part in an individual feedback and planning exercise that allowed them to be supported in exploring and using the information collected as part of the assessment in their own development planning.
For those with very specific or significant gaps identified, additional interventions such as one to one coaching, a structured management development programme and 360 degree feedback were also provided.
